What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday
DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
After The Crash (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)
This documentary tells the stories of the people who lost their lives on Irish roads in 2016, with powerful accounts from their loved ones. We hear about Tina and Joel Kelly, whose car hit a tree near their home, and Russell Colman, who leaves behind a wife and two children. Difficult but essential viewing. #afterthecrash
Gogglebox Ireland (TV3, 9pm)
It’s baaa-aack! The well-received Irish version of the hit show returns with new families (from Mayo, Cork, Portlaoise, Clare and Wicklow) and lots of new telly. Pictured are 16-year-old Tadgh and his granny Ettie from Clonlara, who seem too cute to boot. #goggleboxIRL
Terminator 2: Judgement Day (3e, 10pm)
The Terminator is tasked with protecting the teenage son of Sarah Connor from a new, more advanced Terminator (y’know, the liquid metal guy). Hasta la vista, baby.
Everybody’s talking about: The Moorside
BBC BBC
The BBC’s newest crime drama centres on the kidnapping of 9-year-old Shannon Matthews in 2008, starring Sheridan Smith as a community leader who throws herself into the investigation.
The first episode was well received last night – so this is one to keep an eye on over the next few weeks:
