EVERY WEEKDAY lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
The Great Irish Bake-Off (TV3, 9pm)
On this week’s show, the remaining bakers will be dealing with a tricky German Strudel for the technical challege. Say it. Struuuudel. The Showstopper challenge looks to be a lot of fun – the contestants are being asked to construct mad shapes out of Choux pastry. Not a bother on them. #gibo
MOTD Live: World Cup Preview (BBC One, 10.35pm)
Gary Lineker, Rio Ferdinand and Alan Shearer look ahead to the World Cup, which gets underway tomorrow. First up we’ll have Brazil v Croatia, with Brazil the leading contenders for the trophy. Sports. #motd
Charlie St Cloud (E4, 9pm)
Two reasons to watch Charlie St Cloud: 1. Zac Efron. 2. Zac Efron. But seriously, he stars in this supernatural romantic comedy about a teenager who sees the ghost of his late sibling. Some weepy fluff for your midweek movie. Why not?
Everybody’s talking about… Mel B joining the X Factor
After stints as a guest judge in previous years, Spice Girl Mel B has been added to the panel for reals. She’ll join returning judges Our Cheryl and Simon Cowell, as well as old stalwart Louis Walsh.
The Sun reports that she’s getting £1m for the privilege, including a £100,000 wardrobe allowance. Damn girl.
Or switch over for…
- All Star Mr & Mrs (UTV, 8pm) Naff fun with Philip Schofield and celebrity couples.
- Ireland By Night (3e, 8pm) Repeat – a look at what Ireland gets up to in the small hours.
- Piers Morgan Meets Michael Flatley (TV3, 10pm) Repeat, but who can resist Michael Flatley’s heaving chest?
- Definitely, Maybe (RTÉ One, 10.35pm) Ryan Reynolds and Abigail Breslin star as father and daughter in this rom-com.
