What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here’s the telly people will be talking about tomorrow.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Late Late Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

It’s a jam-packed Late Late tonight – and the perfect follow up to last week’s Toy Show. Potential Oscar contender Ruth Negga, fresh from featuring on the front cover of US Vogue, is in the house. Other guests include chat show legend Michael Parkinson, Charlie Bird and Des Bishop. Should be a good ‘un. #LateLate

The Graham Norton Show (BBC One, 11.05pm)

It’s not exactly a vintage night over on BBC One’s flagship chat show tonight, as Graham welcomes Carrie Fisher, QI host Sandi Toksvig, artist Grayson Perry and last year’s GBBO winner Nadiya Jamir Hussain.

Adele in New York City (BBC One, 11.55pm)

Her live performance in Radio City Music Hall showcased her songs from the album 25 – and took place on November 17, 2015. It has all the hits, and might just be worthy of a late night Friday singalong.

Everyone’s talking about… last night’s episode of The Apprentice

Namely one team’s gin called COLONY:

Usually the main controversy on The Apprentice is the questionable competency of some of the contestants.

Last night, though, it was the questionable name of the gin that was the talking point:

Or flick over for…

  • Mr & Mrs Smith(TV3, 9pm) You can make comments about how you “always knew they were going to break up” throughout.
  • Have I Got News For You (BBC One, 9pm) The week that was.
  • Gogglebox (Channel 4, 9pm) Planet Earth II and Fawlty Towers feature.
  • Ireland’s Fittest Family (RTÉ2, 8pm) Probably best to watch this *after* your takeaway so it doesn’t ruin it for you.
