What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday
DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
The Tommy Tiernan Show (RTÉ One, 10.15pm) Brace yourselves. Tommy’s new chat show is filmed in the same studio as the Late Late – but that’s where the comparison ends. Neither Tommy nor the audience know who the guests will be from week to week. There will be three per night and the show will also have a bit of stand-up and sketch comedy. We’ll see you on the other side.
Inglourious Basterds (RTÉ 2, 9.30pm)
Quentin Tarantino’s wartime epic can be enjoyed countless times over, with Brad Pitt, Melanie Laurent, Diane Kruger, Michael Fassbender and an Oscar-winning Christoph Waltz leading a stellar cast. “We in the killing Nazi business and, cousin, business is a-booming!”
Brooklyn Nine-Nine (E4, 9pm)
The start of the brand new series hits E4 tonight. Jake and Holt adjust to their new lives in Florida under the Witness Protection Program, all the while knowing that Jimmy `the Butcher’ Figgis remains on the loose.
Everyone’s talking about… Father Ted
