What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here’s the telly that everyone will be talking about tomorrow.

Late Late Show (RTE 1, 9.35pm)

It’s a Eurovision special on the Late Late this week. Johnny Logan will be in the studio, giving his take on thsi year’s entry. There will also be something called a EuroSingSong happening, which involves the likes of Marty Whelan, Mairead Ronan, Crystal Swing’s Derek Burke, and Moone Boy’s Ronan Johnston singing Eurovision classics. Jesus. Jessica Harrington, Bernard O’Shea will also be appearing.

The Graham Norton Show (BBC 1, 11.10pm)

On the sofa tonight, are Diane Keaton, Jessica Chastain, Kevin Bacon, and the ride that is Michael Fassbender. Music comes from Gorillaz.

Gogglebox (Channel 4, 9pm)

We’re still missing our own, but the UK one will have to do for now. Tongiht,s they’re watching The Supervet, Britain’s Got Talent, Tatto Artist of the Year, and The Island with Bear Grylls.

Everyone’s talking about… Alfie and Kat coming to Ireland first

At last, our time has come. Eastenders fans are pissed because we’re getting the Kat and Alfie spin-off Redwater in Ireland first. RTE 1 will premiere the series from May 14 at 9.30pm, but BBC One won’t show it until May 18 at 8pm.

Hate that, lads.

Later… with Jools Holland (BBC 2, 11.15pm) An extended version of the show, with Future Islands, Blondie, Blinker and Moses, and Mabel.

Before Midnight (RTE 1, 12am) OK, it’s technically tomorrow, but this Richard Linklater rom-com about a couple trying to find themselves in Greece.

Jamestown (Sky 1, 9pm) This series from the makers of Downton Abbey has been getting much hype recently. It looks at an early English colony in America, in the early 17th ccentury and the first women to arrive.
