What to watch on TV tonight: Saturday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Fright Night (RTÉ 2, 9pm)

For the night that’s in it, RTÉ 2 is showing us the Colin Farrell and David Tennant vampire thriller set in Las Vegas. It has all the spooks of a horror, with a bit of comedy thrown in for good measure. Just look at Farreller as a vampire there – worth a watch for that alone. #FrightNight

The Ray D’Arcy Show (RTÉ One, 9.50pm)

Donal Skehan is the main guest on the couch with Ray this evening. The celebrity chef will chat about how his new food show and his recent trip to the States – as well as the harder side of life on the road. Also Davy Fitzgerald and Anna Geary will be in discussing Ireland’s Fittest Family, which returns tomorrow. #RayDarcy

Strictly Come Dancing (BBC One, 6.35pm)

Wee Daniel might be out, but there’s still a show that must go on. And tonight is Halloween-themed, so it has even more of a chance of creating some, eh, interesting moments for the celeb contestants. #Strictly

Everyone’s talking about… the sad passing of Happy Days’ Al Molinaro

Known around the world for playing cafe owner Al in Happy Days, everyone has been talking about Al Molinaro today.

As The New York Times says, many people remember the iconic character well:

His character, who ran the beanery — originally known as Arnold’s and later called Al’s — where the group congregated, was known for the catchphrase “Yup-yup-yup-yup,” uttered in a world-weary phonetic blur.

RIP.

Or flick over for…

  • Bram Stoker’s Dracula (Film4, 9pm) MORE vampires. We demand more for tonight only.
  • Ghostbusters (Comedy Central, 6pm) Absolutely perfect.
  • The Jonathan Ross Show (UTV Ireland, 10.25pm) Priscilla Presley is on, as is Danny Dyer ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  • Rugby World Cup Final (TV3, 3pm) If you can’t catch the big New Zealand vs Australia clash at 4pm, there are some highlights at 10.25pm – with The X Factor sandwiched in between them as well.
