What to watch on TV tonight: Tuesday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Angela Scanlon’s Close Encounters, RTÉ 2, 10pm

In the fourth episode of her Close Encounters series, Angela meets the controversial and outspoken ”media personality” that is Katie Hopkins. She has said that there were moments that she had to stop and take deep breaths while interviewing Katie, so prepare yourself for some uncomfortable viewing. #CloseEncounters

Catastrophe, Channel 4, 10pm

The always excellent comedy begins its third episode of the new series tonight and Sharon decides that she and Rob should inject some passion into their love life. Needless to say, things don’t quite go to plan. We’re all rooting for them though. #Catastrophe

Masterchef: The Professionals, BBC Two, 8pm

A brand new series of the professional version of the tense cooking show. So we can expect a slightly higher standard than the regulars usually rattling around the kitchen. Six chefs entertonight but only three will make it through. The tension. #Masterchef

Everybody’s talking about… Michael Buerk dishing the dirt on the conditions in I’m a Celeb

Set to start this Sunday, the new lineup for I’m a Celeb has been revealed.

But it’s last year’s contestant Michael Buerk that is making all the news. The former newsreader didn’t hold back throwing some shade on the show:

The format works on techniques perfected by the Gestapo and the KGB. The ‘jungle’ is part prison camp, part torture centre, part laboratory experiment in social anthropology; cruelty with its tongue in its cheek, staged at vast expense (and huge profit) for the amusement of millions.

He also said that contestants on the show are told that non-sexual nudity were perfectly OK – and that only “class A swearing” was banned.

So now.

 Or switch over for…

  • The Secret Life of 4 Year Olds (Channel 4, 8pm) The most adorable thing on TV. Cameras follow a load of cute four year olds around a creche <3
  • Undercover Forgery Scammers (TV3, 9pm) Paul Connolly investigates some of the master forgers out there. All very hush hush.
  • Billy Elliot (BBC Four, 9pm) Absolute classic. Dance, Billy!
  • The Hurt Locker (Film4, 11.15pm) If you want something slightly grittier than Billy Elliot.
