What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Late Late Show, RTÉ One, 9.35pm

Tonight sees Canadian rocker Bryan Adams join Tubs on the couch as the Late Late’s star guest. The whole country will be hoping he belts out Summer of ’69, but that might be asking too much of him. Other guests joining Ryan are TV doctor Pixie McKenna, Mario Rosenstock and Kodaline will be belting out a few tunes as well. #LateLate

Bosnia vs Ireland Euro 2016 playoff, RTÉ 2, 7pm

It’s crunch time for the boys in green. They play away in Bosnia tonight (kick-off 7.45pm) and welcome them to Dublin on Monday for the return leg. Oh, just imagine the tension if it’s close. Will we suffer more playoff woe or soar majestically into the Euros next summer? We can dream. #BOSvIRL

TV3 Toy Show Auditions, TV3, 8pm

Look, it’s not the main Toy Show but the auditions for the TV3 one will still feature adorable kids trying their best to get on the show – and it’s bound to be filled with festive cuteness. Christmas lovers: miss it at your peril. #TV3ToyShow

Everybody’s talking about… Aziz Ansari’s Reddit AMA last night

The stars of Netflix’s excellent new comedy Master of None – Aziz Ansari and Alan Yang - did an Ask Me Anything on Reddit last night.

It was gas and slightly NSFW, and they gave great insights into why they chose to do the show with Netflix:

We pitched only to premium spots cause we didn’t want to deal with content issues. (Example: The show opens with Rachel and I talking about jizz/precum.) On Netflix, we never had one issue with content. Also, no need to edit to commercials. Most importantly though, Netflix really believed in us and told us they wanted to go straight to series and do 10 episodes. No pilot/development process. It was a great experience.

 Or switch over for…

  • Children in Need 2015 (BBC One, 7pm) The BBC’s charity extravaganza hits our screens tonight. It will be a star-studded affair, no doubt, but it also knocks Graham Norton off the air as well :(
  • The Hunger Games (Film4, 9pm) The first installment - and with Ferris Bueller’s Day Off on just before it, you’ve got yourself a decent Friday night movie marathon right there
  • Apres Match of the Day (RTÉ 2, 10.30pm) Either drown your sorrows or celebrate the hope for Monday with the lads after the match
  • First Dates (Channel 4, 11.05pm) If you missed last night’s adorable episode, you can catch up tonight.
