What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

First Dates (Channel 4, 10pm)

It’s an unprecedented night on First Dates. When 25-year-old Sasha gets stood up on her date, waiter Sam steps into the breach to fill the void. How will a waiter-contestant romance work out? We’ll see. Meanwhile, we’ll have the regular combination of romantic and awkward meetings to enjoy from the comfort of our own home. Sure it wouldn’t be Thursday night without it. #FirstDates

The Fighting Irish: Reality Bites (RTÉ 2, 10pm)

The rise of MMA in Ireland has been as quick as it has been Conor McGregor-themed. The Reality Bites documentary will take a look at the scene around the country, meeting different fighters and finding out where their love for the sport came from. #RealityBites

BBC Music Awards (RTÉ 2, 8pm)

Chris Evans and Fearne Cotton host the second BBC Music Awards. In what looks like a fairly stellar lineup, the likes of One Direction, Hozier, Mumford & Sons and Rod Stewart will be belting out some songs on stage. As well as that, the BBC will be determining who their Artist of the Year is. Should be a thoroughly enjoyable watch. #BBCMusicAwards
