What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Late Late Show (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

Mark Wahlberg and Will Ferrell will be the star attraction on the Late Late tonight. It’s already been revealed that they tell us a great anecdote about going for pints with a load of Irish dads during the week – and there’s sure to be plenty more craic like that from the pair of them. Baz Ashmawy, The Corrs and golfer Shane Lowry will also be in studio with Tubs. Not bad at all. #LateLate

The Graham Norton Show (BBC One, 10.35pm)

The Late Late will be up against it tonight once Graham comes on as he has got a seriously stellar line up all ready to go. Tina Fey is on the couch promoting her new film Sisters, and the other main guest is Quentin Tarantino – both of which will probably be gas for very different reasons. Kurt Russell will also be there along with music by Sia. Friday night telly is hitting some proper heights tonight. #GrahamNorton

2 Guns (TV3, 9pm)

Two undercover agents – one working for the DEA the other for the Navy – infiltrate a drug cartel, only for the planned sting operation to go disastrously wrong. This one stars Denzel Washington and Mark Wahlberg (sure you can record his Late Late interview for after) and is an enjoyable one for a Friday night. #2Guns

Everyone is talking about… this weekend’s X Factor final

Adele will be pitching up, apparently.

But there are some that aren’t all that impressed with this year’s crop of finalists. As The Guardian describes the scene:

This year’s competition comes down to a choice between a David Brent lookalike, somebody who has made no impression whatsoever, and a novelty act gone horribly wrong

So now. We’ll all still be watching though.

Or flick over for…

Sherlock (RTÉ 2 9pm) Some series 3 sorcery from Benedict et al.

TFI Friday (Channel 4, 8pm) Martin Freeman and Idris Elba are amongst the guests.

The Dark Knight (ITV2, 9pm) A classic for a cosy Friday night in.

Ghost Town (RTÉ 2, 11.45pm) Ricky Gervais and Greg Kinnear larking around the place.
