What to watch on TV tonight: Saturday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Voice UK (BBC One, 7.30pm)

The final ever BBC season of The Voice begins tonight before it ships off to ITV for good. Paloma Faith and Boy George join Ricky Wilson and Will.I.Am in the judging chairs. It might not have the razzmatazz of The X Factor, but the audition stages are ripe for some entertainment each year. #TheVoice

The Ray D’Arcy Show (RTÉ One, 9.45pm)

It might not match up to the Late Late’s debate on 1916 that had everyone talking, but tonight’s show features all five leaders from RTÉ’s Operation Transformation as the main draw. George Hook and his wife Ingrid will also be in for a natter on the couch with Ray. Could there be a late call up for Blindboy Boatclub to come on and put the world to rights? Nah, but we’ll make do. #RayDarcyShow

The Jonathan Ross Show (UTV Ireland, 10pm)

A new series of Rossy’s chat show starts tonight – and the main guest in is Steve Carell talking about his latest Oscar contender The Big Short. The film co-stars Christian Bale, Ryan Gosling and Brad Pitt but by the sounds of things, it’s Carell who has the star turn in the financial crash drama. Also in the studio is Gordon Ramsey, and Ellie Goulding provides the tunes. #JonathanRoss

Everybody’s talking about… the fact that they are making a follow up to Netflix’s Making A Murderer

Making A Murderer has been the most talked-about documentary of the last year. And now US TV channel Investigation Discovery has announced that it’s doing a follow up.

As Variety reports:

It promises to look at critical details surrounding the Steven Avery murder trial at the center of the Netflix project.

Front Page: The Steven Avery Story will air in late January and says that it will examine all the things that might have been left out of the Netflix series.

So now. The story continues.
