What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Don’t Tell the Bride (RTÉ 2, 9.30pm)

Wexford man Enda has plans to give his bride Lisa a big Hollywood-style wedding, complete with a high-flying chopper and a ceremony in a field. So he heads along to a Dublin movie premiere to try and get a message recorded from none other than Colin Farrell. Will he succeed? We’ll see. #DontTellTheBride

The Lovely Bones (Film4, 11.15pm)

Given Saoirse Ronan is everywhere at once right now – representing us from the red carpet to this tea room – it’s as good a time as any to have another look at the film that sprung her into the big time. And it’s a thoroughly enjoyable watch. #TheLovelyBones

Eipic (TG4, 10pm)

A brand new series from TG4 about five teenagers who take over their local abandoned post office to begin a musical revolution. Will it live up to its excellent name? We’ll have to wait and see. #Eipic

Everybody’s talking about… Matt LeBlanc taking over as one of the Top Gear presenters

Yes. Joey from Friends is going to be a co-presenter on the BBC motoring show.

Which has shocked many and led to plenty of gags too:

Sure Matt himself has registered record laps as a guest before – but NOBODY saw this coming.

Porsche-a.

Or switch over for…

  • First Dates (Channel 4, 10pm) More of our favourite dating show (with RTÉ 2 showing an episode from the first series at 10.30pm too – bonus First Dates)
  • Cats v Dogs: Which is Best? (BBC Two 8pm) The age old question. Not answered.
  • Happy Gilmore (ITV2, 10.30pm) Before Adam Sandler lost it.
  • Operation Transformation (RTÉ One, 8.30pm) Keep up with their progress – as the challenges heat up again for the leaders tonight.
