What to watch on TV tonight: Saturday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Michael Jackson’s Journey from Motown to Off the Wall (BBC Two, 9pm)

Spike Lee’s much lauded documentary charts the path of the King of Pop’s career through to the release of Off the Wall from his early days in Motown. #MichaelJackson

Live Six Nations Rugby (RTÉ 2, 4.40pm)

The final day of the championship sees Ireland kick off against Scotland in Dublin at 5pm. We might be out of the running, but it’s all set to be a fiercely entertaining match-up with the resurgent Scots. At 8.00pm though, we’ll see whether England can nab themselves a Grand Slam when they travel to Paris to face France. Everyone will be glued to it all evening. #6Nations

About a Boy (RTÉ 2, 10.30pm)

Back before Nicholas Hoult became the guy from Skins/Mr J-Law, he starred in this excellent rom com with Hugh Grant – adapted from the wildly successful Nick Hornby book. Grant plays the opposite of his standard charmingly befuddled stereotype and the supporting cast is great, too. Worth a watch on a quiet Saturday night, no doubt. #AboutABoy

Everyone’s talking about… the #Daredevil binge watch being in full swing

The reviews are in:

Yesterday, we noted that the new series of Netflix’s Daredevil had dropped. And people haven’t wasted time devouring it:

It’s not been a letdown, anyway:

Now is the time to catch the Daredevil train – before something else comes along.

 Or switch over for…

  • Insurrection (RTÉ One, 11.10pm) A repeat of last night’s showing of the original 1916 drama from the ’60s.
  • The Day After Tomorrow (Channel 4, 7pm) Yes, a mediocre disaster movie – but the CGI is decent enough.
  • Rush (Film4, 11.05pm) James Hunt and Niki Lauda battle it out to see who can be the coolest Formula 1 driver in history. And, also, to win races.
  • The Ray D’Arcy Show (RTÉ One, 9.50pm) Dolores Keane and Joe Duffy are the main guests tonight.
