What to watch on TV tonight: Wednesday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Irish Pictorial Weekly – 1916 Special (RTÉ One, 9.35pm)

The satirical sketch show focuses its craic on 1916, for a once off special. The likes of Barry Murphy, Paul Woodfull, Gary Cooke and Kevin Gildea will be stirring the pot with some relevant gags for the centenary week that was. #IrishPictorialWeekly

Hidden Impact: Rugby and Concussion (RTÉ One, 10.25pm)

This documentary investigates the issue of concussion in rugby, with former Irish international players Ronan O’Gara, Fergus Slattery and Conor O’Shea speaking about its impact on the modern game. Expect this to be provide plenty of talking points. #hiddenimpact

Lincoln (Film4, 9pm)

Lincoln provided Daniel Day-Lewis’s most recent Oscar win, and it’s certainly worth a watch. The Presidential biopic is slow in places, sure, but ultimately it’s Day-Lewis’s performance that takes this to the next level. Chalk this down as your midweek movie. #Lincoln
