What to watch on TV tonight: Thursday

Here are the shows that will be on your Twitter timeline this evening.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

First Dates Ireland (RTÉ 2, 9.30pm)

It’s the show that the nation fell in love with last week. Well, that and argued about Darryel and Amy’s potential – and ultimately unsuccessful – romance. This week looks like it’s going to keep the momentum going, with a couple apparently realising half way through that they dated each other years ago. It was bound to happen in Ireland, really. #FirstDatesIRL

Home of the Year – Final (RTÉ One, 8.30pm)

The judges decide have whittled down the competitors from 21 at the start of the series to the seven finalists left tonight. It’s pure property porn, and at the end of the night one of these people will be able to say they have the best gaff in Ireland. #HomeoftheYear

Father Ted (RTÉ 2, 9pm)

The perfect pre-First Dates watch. Tonight is the Pat Mustard episode, which ranks up there with the best. Let’s just pray there’s no particularly hairy babies as a result of First Dates in nine months time. #FatherTed

Everyone’s talking about… this awkward scene from tonight’s First Dates Ireland

RTÉ 2 has released a clip from one of the dates tonight – and it looks absolutely mortifying:

We’ll be watching this one from behind the couch.
