Avatar (Channel 4, 8pm)
OK, so it’s unlikely you’ll be watching this in 3D – which is the main reason why it was so popular – but there are worse options out there for a Saturday night in. James Cameron directs, so you know the special effects will be class. #Avatar
Hancock (RTÉ 2, 8.50pm)
Will Smith, Charlize Theron and Jason Bateman all star in this fairly good superhero comedy. Will Smith in particular is in fine form as the completely mediocre superhero. #Hancock
