What to watch on TV tonight: Tuesday

Here are the shows people will be talking about tomorrow.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Rio 2016 (various channels)

OK, so yesterday wasn’t a great day for the Irish in Rio. Katie was knocked out of the boxing and Annalise Murphy never even got going in the medal race in the sailing. But all is not lost. Annalise tries again today at 5.05pm and currently sits in third place, while Thomas Barr has his 400m hurdles semi-final around 1.49am. It might just be worth the late night#Rio2016

First Dates (Channel 4, 10pm)

The second episode of the new series sees Josh and Jack take part in a double date, but “problems arise after they meet Morgan and Jasmine, and both fall for the same girl.” YES. This sounds like we could be in for some all-time levels of awkwardness – which is why we all watch in the first place.

Live UEFA Champions League (TV3, 7.30pm)

Coverage of the play-off round first-leg encounter between Steaua Bucharest and Manchester City. Pep Guardiola et al will be hoping for a nice easy passage into the Champions League proper – while Irish fans will be using tonight to whet the appetite for Dundalk’s historic clash in Dublin tomorrow.
