What to watch on TV tonight: Sunday

Here’s the telly people will be talking about tomorrow.

DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Apprentice – Final (BBC One, 9pm)

It’s been 11 weeks since the start, and Sugar has whittled all the contestants down to the final two. It’s been an entertaining enough series so far – and it’s *SPOLIERS* Courtney and Alana who find themselves in the final tonight. All they have to do is launch their businesses and pitch the ideas to experts. Sounds handy.

22 Jump Street (RTÉ One, 9.30pm)

Yes, it’s the time of year when decent movies start popping up all the time on the telly and we simply must embrace it. Tonight, the Irish premiere of 22 Jump Street lands on RTÉ, and it’s well worth a watch. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are the undercover cops, and they play the gags with a knowing nod to the audience.

BBC Sports Personality of the Year (BBC One, 6.40pm)

We had our big sports awards on RTÉ last night, and now it’s time for the BBC to have theirs. The SPOTY *always* causes a fair deal of controversy and moaning – just because everyone has an opinion on who was the very best sportsperson in 2016. So sit back, relax and watch the argument commence.

Everyone’s talking about… the final of Strictly last night

Spoilers within.

Ore Oduba won out in the end – beating Danny Mac and Louise Redknapp to win the 2016 series.

But a lot of the talk around the episode dealt with the fact that it was Len Goodman’s last:

Strictly will never be the same.
