DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.
Princess Diana’s ‘Wicked’ Stepmother (Channel 4, 9pm)
It’s basically Diana Week on Channel 4. This documentary examines “the turbulent relationship between Diana, Princess of Wales and her formidable stepmother Raine Spencer” – a woman who was apparently loathed by Diana and her siblings. Sounds like dirt could be dished.
Wild (Film4, 9pm)
A premiere that will make you want to drop it all and head off into the wilderness with nothing but a backpack for the next few months. A series of devastating personal traumas leaves Reese Witherspoon’s character feeling self-destructive and lost. After spending years behaving recklessly, she decides to turn things around by embarking on an epic, solo trek along America’s Pacific Crest Trail, which gives her the time and space to reassess her existence.
The Wedding Ringer (RTE 2, 9pm)
Another premiere! A socially awkward young groom-to-be hires a professional best man to make him look good at his forthcoming wedding. Convincing his fiancee and guests that they really do know each other proves to be problematic, but at least a real friendship begins to develop between the mismatched pair. Comedy, starring Josh Gad, Kevin Hart and Kaley Cuoco.
Everyone is talking about… The Mooch is going to be on Colbert next Monday
Lads.
Stephen Colbert announced last night that Anthony Scaramucci is coming on the show for an exclusive interview next week – and the comedian could barely believe they got him:
THE MOOOOOCH.
