Someone started a Twitter thread to 'name one bad Kevin Spacey movie' and Kevin Spacey responded

*name searches*

Baby Driver European Premiere - London Matt Crossick Matt Crossick

KEVIN SPACEY: WORLD-FAMOUS actor, brilliant impressionist and, it would appear, a searcher of his own name on Twitter.

But this time it actually worked out OK and he didn’t come across a torrent of abuse about himself, thankfully.

A couple of days ago, Twitter user @harli_xo asked a seemingly simple question

But loads of people were like “nah, not possible”

Such is the love for all things Spacey, he can make any awful movie half decent

Hundreds of replies brought a good few people who had suggestions: K-Pax – that middling movie where Spacey plays a man who’s convinced he’s an alien – was a popular nominee

As was Nine Lives – the animated comedy about cats where Spacey plays the lead role. It sits on 12% on Rotten Tomatoes, so definitely a worthwhile suggestion

A couple of days passed and it looked like the thread had died down.

Until Kevin Spacey himself rowed in with his own suggestion today

precious @KevinSpacey @KevinSpacey

Yes, he’d selected the 2005 thriller Edison as a self-declared bad movie

It starred Morgan Freeman, LL Cool J and Justin Timberlake and the critical consensus would agree with Kevin’s assessment

rotten Rotten Tomatoes Rotten Tomatoes

Not a bad cast, but objectively rotten according to the famous review aggregator – although you wouldn’t expect the star of the show to the be like “yeah, that was shite” 12 years after it came out.

Even after he’d answered, people still wanted Nine Lives included on his list

Spacey was not having that

So, Edison is definitely worse than Nine Lives, according to the man himself – cat pun included.

Let’s get him involved in some of the more outrageous House of Cards conspiracy theories next time he logs into Twitter. He’s clearly willing to be brutally honest.
