TXFM hits the airwaves: Here's how Twitter reacted to the first day
Facebook Facebook
NEW DUBLIN RADIO station TXFM hit the airwaves for the first time today.
It was unveiled on Friday as the replacement for the late lamented Phantom 105.2, which played its last song at midnight on March 16.
Several former Phantom presenters have been hired to anchor the new station, including Cathal Funge, Claire Beck, Joe Donnelly and Kelly-Anne Byrne.
So how did the first day go down?
Well, it started strongly:
And although some were sceptical…
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
… the majority of listeners on Twitter were pleased with the offering:
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
Some even said their minds had been changed:
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
That said, not everybody was happy:
Some saw a couple of teething problems with the Twitter feed:
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
And this poor man in Mexico was simply confused:
All in all, a pretty positive response.
Were you listening? What did you think? Let us know in the comments…
