WE’VE WITNESSED SOME shoddy customer service in our time, but this takes the biscuit.
United Airlines sent this apology letter in response to a customer complaint. Which would be fine, except they forgot to fill in the case fields, so it basically reads as Apology Letter: Mad Libs Edition.
“(SPECIFIC ITEM)”.
The letter was posted on Reddit and, as we can see, it inadvertently exposes the airline’s “fill-in-the-blanks” policy for dealing with customer complaints, which ain’t good for the ol’ PR.
United Airlines have yet to issue a statement regarding the letter, but we suspect a (SPECIFIC EMPLOYEE) is about to be in a lot of trouble.
D’oh.
