DUBLIN IS SPOILED for choice when it comes to pastries and treats these days, but Finglas bakery Urbn Cakes might just put everyone else to shame.
The brainchild of pastry chef Eric Nolan, Urbn Cakes are doing amazing things with pastries.
As in, they resemble little works of art.
These aren’t the caramel squares and eclairs you grew up with.
Like, look at this special Valentine’s Day treat he made
Honey vanilla and mascarpone mousse, strawberry and raspberry coulis, genoise sponge and a crisp biscuit base and topped with fresh strawberry, raspberries and pink macaron.
BRB, my sweet tooth is physically aching.
Eric sells his wares at the honest2goodness market in Glasnevin every Saturday and accepts special commissions as well.
We’ll take this…
And this…
White chocolate and berry flip-flop.
Unreal.
Oh fine, we’ll take this as well.
…milk chocolate petit gateaux with layers of smooth milk chocolate mousse, blackberry and raspberry coulis, genoise sponge and a crisp base topped with a nest and eggs
Just give us the lot and nobody gets hurt.
*drools*
