US bomb squad takes down toy pony
A US BOMB SQUAD decided to detonate a suspicious device discovered in a residential area in Florida yesterday morning – a mechanical toy pony.
Authorities were called to examine a suspicious package in Orlando, Florido, putting a nearby school on lockdown when examining the object.
They deployed a specialist robot to dispose of the ‘device’.
One officer said the police were not willing to take any chances when the toy, complete with wires and batteries, was discovered in a cul-de-sac near a primary school.
The horse is a toy robot called Butterscotch which is sold for $350.
One resident told local TV station WESH 2 she was “just glad they got it. They did a good job.”
