7 vegetarian spots to take your carnivore friends in Dublin
BEING A VEGETARIAN is hard enough without trying to talk your mates into going to a veggie-only restaurant with you.
Try this lot out for size.
1. Cornucopia, Wicklow Street
This place has TONS of choice for both vegans and vegetarians. Fresh and delicious, your meat-eater mates will forget they aren’t eating a chunk of meat. Their chunky soups and hearty salads ensure that no one will leave feeling hungry.

2. Umi Falafel, Dame Street
This spot is excellent for a quick lunch or a sit-down meal, and serve up some of the best falafel in town. Order your meat-eater mates to get the Palestinian falafel and watch them question their life choices up to this point.

3. Govinda’s, Aungier Street
The food here is no-frills but excellent, meat or no meat. All made on the premises, you’ll for sure win over your meat-eating mates with their desserts if nothing else.

4. Sova Food, Rathmines
This place is hip as hell, but get there quick as they’re a pop up and will be on the move at the end of August. You’ll have a bunch of tasty dishes to chose from and your carnivore mates will be happy with the lentil and aubergine meatball substitute. No, we’re serious.

5. Blazing Salads, Drury
One for the lunch option. Their selection of fresh, healthy salads just can’t be beaten in Dublin, and there’s enough of textures and flavours to satisfy the most ravenous of meatlovers.

6. The Farm, Dawson St
The farm is primarily vegetarian, but serve meat alternatives such as a fish shepherd’s pie for the pescetarians and a decent choice of freshly sourced meat dishes. Sometimes you just have to give in.

7. Happy Food, Camden Place
This lovely little spot at the yoga hub is excellent for a day meet up. They have a vegan chocolate cake and a vegan burrito that’s just as satisfying as the ‘real’ thing.
