Video: Barack Obama can't escape that Call Me Maybe tune either
We couldn’t decide which image to use, so we went with them both. (Charles Dharapak/AP/Press Association Images)
THE PRESIDENT OF the United States hasn’t been able to escape that Carly Rae Jepsen tune either.
First the starlet’s hit got Justin Bieber’s attention (and that of 41 million other viewers along with it) but now the POTUS has also latched onto the craze.
A YouTube account, baracksdubs, expertly creates mashups of his presidential speeches to the tune of popular music, based on commenters’ requests. So, it’s not surprising that a version of this annoyingly catchy teen bop was uploaded yesterday:
If you need extra material to try and get that song out your head (although that’s about as possible as getting all the ketchup out of a bottle), there are also covers of Sexy and I Know It, Born This Way (with dance moves) and Rhianna’s Drink to That.
Thanks @baracksdubs for using your time so wonderfully.
