But yesterday the twins really outdid themselves on their first day of media duties in Azerbaijan, where they’ll represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest next week.
Because yesterday, the 20-year-old Lucan lads dressed up as… tubs of popcorn.
Like last time, too, the boys are buttering up the locals by paying tribute to the previous year’s winners: having last year become very close to reigning German champ Lena, this year they’ve constantly been singing the echoing opening lines to Running Scared, which won the contest for Azerbaijan last May.
The twins will perform ‘Waterline’ in the first of the two semi-finals next Tuesday night, and should (hopefully) then make it into the grand final on Saturday the 26th.

But yesterday the twins really outdid themselves on their first day of media duties in Azerbaijan, where they’ll represent Ireland in the Eurovision Song Contest next week.

The twins – whose departure from Dublin Airport had to be brought forward due to the slews of fans wishing them well – have apparently met with even greater fervour in Baku this year than in Dusseldorf last time.
