What you need to know about Instagram video

Now you can use #nofilter on all your videos too. Lucky you.

IF YOU’RE AN avid Instagram fan then you’ll have noticed that yesterday they introduced videos to their photo sharing platform.

Given that the Vine app was doing something similar we’re sure the two services will be in competition more than ever.

Instagram announced the feature with this ad and you can read more about the launch here

What do you need to know about the video side of Instagram?

Bascially, you can now upload up to 15 seconds of video and apply filters so if artfully photgraphing your Sunday brunch wasn’t enough for you there are now endless video opportunities to avail of.

Now we’re going to have the live with the joy of video selfies, video food posts, video arty shots of local scenery and video shots of people having lots and lots of fun on their night out.

And of course we’re sure plenty of people will be very into posting videos under the dreaded #nofilter tag.

Video is taking over Instgram at a rapid rate already and as usual we can use celebrity examples for how best to behave on a social media platform.

You can follow Madonna’s lead and show of your workout routine in your (very fancy looking) bathroom:

Or you can do what a lot of people and Justin Bieber did and just upload a video telling people Instagram now has video.

Via an Instagram video.

Of course.
