VIDEO: This isn't the Caribbean, this is Dublin's Grand Canal
YOU COULD EASILY be forgiven for thinking this video is from one of the world’s sunnier spots – somewhere in the Caribbean, perhaps, or the Pacific Islands: this is, in fact, the Grand Canal in Dublin.
You may have spotted Underwater Ireland‘s work being featured on RTÉ’s Six One news a week ago – but what we hadn’t realised is that their YouTube channel is equally mesmerising and hypnotising, offering a rare look at life under the surfaces of Ireland’s waterways.
And you may well be surprised at not only the level of aquatic life in the rivers and canals of the capital, but how beautiful it is too.
