Every year, students at the prestigious Massachusetts Institute of Technology drop a piano from the roof of one of the dorms on campus. Apparently it’s to celebrate the last day students can drop classes without having them appear on their college transcript (um, no, we’re not sure of the link either).

Around 200 people watched the piano roll off a makeshift ramp from the top of the six-story building yesterday before it smashed to the ground. Bizarre.
