Video: when demolition goes wrong
A 275-FOOT SMOKE STACK in Ohio accidentally fell the wrong way during its planned demolition in Springfield.
The tower came down towards the south-east, rather than east after the explosives were detonated.
Terrified spectators fled as the tower fell onto power lines, causing them to snap and fly through the air.
No injuries were reported, but about 4,000 people lost power when the cables were cut, according to the AP.
