LAST WEEK, ITV chat-show Loose Women invited ‘How Clean is Your House?’ star Kim Woodburn to their panel, in the hopes of ending the ongoing feud between Woodburn and Loose Women presenter Coleen Nolan.
The feud was not brought to an end. Instead, the animosity between the two women was deepened, with many viewers accusing the Loose Women hosts of bullying Kim Woodburn. More than 3,300 Ofcom complaints were made about the segment, which saw Kim forced to walk off set on live TV.
Yesterday, Coleen Nolan went on This Morning to say that she has had ‘the worst week of her entire life’ since that episode of Loose Women aired.
Coleen said that she wished she “could go back in time and change the whole thing”, and insisted that she had no idea that the show was going to turn out like that. There was plenty of opportunity for her to tell her co-workers on Loose Women to lay off of Kim, but instead Nolan silently smirked through most of the interview.
She told Phillip Schofield and Holly Willoughby that she doesn’t know what she did wrong.
I didn’t say anything! I said about two things in that interview because I know what she’s like, and she needs help, really. I feel terribly sorry for her, I’m not going to say anything about her.
Coleen shared some of the horrible messages she had gotten from anonymous Twitter accounts following the incident, which consisted of death threats and jokes about her sister’s death.
In fifty odd years of doing a job I love, really love, and it’s all I know how to do, there’s a campaign to get me fired and they talk about me being a horrible bully, but then they send me these revolting things.
Nolan said that she has stepped away from her social media accounts, but they are now being run by her team. Of course that kind of abuse online is inexcusable, but Kim has also been receiving similar comments from Coleen’s fans on Twitter.
Coleen’s This Morning interview went on for almost seven minutes, and not once in the interview did she apologise to Kim. The nicest thing she said about Kim in the interview was “I don’t hate Kim, we’ll never be friends.”
In place of a direct apology to Kim, Coleen said:
It’s been horrendous. I apologise to anyone… No one was more upset by that show than I was.
After this interview, Coleen’s management announced that she would be taking a day off from Loose Women this week.
Just to let everyone know - Coleen won’t be on @loosewomen on Thursday she’s decided to go home & spend time with her family instead-she didnt expect to cry on @thismorning And she’s still very upset about everything thats happened &thanks you for your kind messages & support x

Some viewers were very unhappy with Coleen’s appearance on This Morning.
Please don’t play the victim card, 4 loose woman ganged up on Kim yes she has a big personality and gets defensive but they were goading her. Don’t get me started on the ridiculous outfit that Janette was wear so condescending.

Loose Women repeatedly billed that show as "Coleen vs Kim" at which point did Coleen say that was not what the show was about? I didn't see her reprimand her sister for calling Kim talentless! Getting sick of actresses turning on the tears when their stinking attitudes backfire!

I’m no fan of Kim Woodburn but this is bullying pure and simple. Coleen Nolan, and the rest, should be thoroughly ashamed. #loosewomen https://t.co/WuWvKQasJ0

They really did not hold back.
She’s so false, all these crocodile tears yet she humiliated and mocked Kim last week, bullied her on tv with the rest of her middle aged harpies just to make her look better. She’s a disgrace, really grinds my gears she does.

However, some people believe that Coleen is innocent in this situation.
Agree, she resorted to blaming her childhood when it was clear she wasn't going to be allowed to insult everyone with no consequences. Kim was vile to everyone from the start.
