Viewers were astounded by how much salt Nigella used in her Christmas special last night
BBC BBC
SOME TV CHEFS are known for using some ingredients a little bit too heavily (e.g. Paula Deen and butter).
Last night, Nigella Lawson gave Salt Bae a run for his money in the Christmas special of her TV show ‘At My Table’. Her sprouts probably taste like they were marinated in the Irish Sea for a few hours.
Throughout the show she used a pretty excessive amount of salt on a couple of other dishes. Salted cranberries? Yeah, why not.
BBC BBC
Salted caramel? Naturally.

Imagine how parched guests are going to be after Christmas dinner in her house.
Her generosity with the salt got a fair amount of attention on Twitter.

People also noticed that Nigella came off as a bit of a goth on the show, too.

Once again, we all face the injustice of having no access to the BBC iPlayer to rewatch this gem.
