LAST WEEK, THE world learned about perhaps the craziest breakup text that has ever been sent.

It came from a man named ‘Bobo’. After seven weeks of dating, Bobo put together this incredibly detailed six-point list outlining why he was ending it.

This is how he signed off:

After Twitter user Amy Nelmes – a friend of the epic text’s recipient – posted the screencap last Friday, it went crazy. So far, it has been retweeted just over 19,000 times and favourited by more than 27,000 people.

But what of the woman who actually got the text from ‘Bobo’? Well, she remains anonymous. But she is from Sydney, Australia, and she spoke to NineMSN about the relationship in question.

The man seemed “too good to be true”, she said.

He was 30, had a job, a car and a house. Certainly not what I normally manage to attract, so I thought I was onto something. He was a bit of a nerd, perhaps a bit quiet, but a genuinely nice guy all the same.

She said she got the text on a Monday morning, after she had been away all weekend at the fateful wedding he wasn’t invited to.

He’d indicated that he was upset he couldn’t attend with me, but we were only very casual as far as I was concerned and the guest list had been finalised months ago, there wasn’t necessarily an option to take a plus one.

However, the woman did make one terrible admission:

I guess I did tell the cat to “F— off.”
