This is the guy that won The Voice of Ireland 2014 final
BRENDAN MC CAHEY has been named the winner of the third series of The Voice of Ireland.
Whether you’ve been following the show avidly, or merely want to get your eyes around the new Keith Hanley*, here’s a catch up from his two performances at last night’s final.
*Er, the lad who won it last year. Pat Byrne won it the year before that.
McCahey, a father of one from Cavan, had been the only contestant to score a ten during the 17 week series. He managed to land two tens during the semi final last week:
He’s landed a recording contract with Universal Music and all four finalists’ songs have now been released on iTunes.
Jamie Stanton came in fourth place, Laura May Lenehan in third and Kellie Lewis in second. McCahey’s win is the second overall for mentor Bressie. He won the first series with Pat Byrne in 2012.
