Steven Michaels has built a replica hobbit house in Montana in the US, and has opened it to guests. He told The New York Times that it’s not a money-making venture, having only had about 14 visitors since it opened last autumn.
A one night stay will set you back around $245, but for that you get the whole 20 acre site to yourself, complete with Frodo and Bilbo’s cottages, a waterfall and a deck.
Michaels, who is half Irish, has told TheJournal.ie that he’d love to have some Irish people come and visit…
