VIDEO: BBC business presenter does an Irish jig live on air
A BBC BUSINESS presenter caused a stir on live breakfast television yesterday when she kicked off her heels and performed an impressive Irish jig.
Steph McGovern paid homage to Kate Winslet in Titanic when she showed off her champion dancer skills yesterday morning.
Normally concerned with the FTSE index, breakfast presenter Bill Turnbill noted that her fancy footwork “gave a whole news meaning to the Footsie index”. Geddit?

According to her Twitter, McGovern is “retired Irish dancer” but in honour of the appearance of Winslet on the BBC yesterday she turned out her best moves on the programme.
The 29-year-old Middlesbrough native tweeted afterwards: “Thanks for tweets about my Irish dancing! Bit old for it now – took ages to recover afterwards!”
