WATCH: Friday at the movies
EVERY FRIDAY AFTERNOON,TheJournal.ie presents an award-winning short film for you to enjoy as you ease into the weekend…
This week: The Wednesdays
Mr and Mrs O’Leary have settled into a familiar routine dictated by old age and habit – Mondays comes after the weekend “so that’s alright”, Tuesday is Mrs O’Leary’s pension day, Thursday is bingo night and Friday is The Late Late Show. It’s the long, dull hours of Wednesday that they have a difficulty filling – until they discover an unusual way to bring it to life again.
This funny and occasionally very poignant film from director/writer Conor Ferguson and writer Luke Clancy won a plethora of awards – and warmed the hearts of audiences at home and internationally.
