Watch it: Friday at the movies
EVERY FRIDAY AFTERNOON,TheJournal.ie presents an award-winning short film for you to enjoy as you ease into the weekend.
This week: 3-Minute 4-Play
This clever and amusing short is a surreal tale of desire and jealousy set in an empty white space. Well, almost empty…
You might recognise the two protagonists engaging in this battle of the sexes as Risteard Cooper of Apres Match fame and Ruth Negga, who received rave reviews last night for her performance as Shirley Bassey in the BBC’s biopic Shirley.
In this much more low-key production from director/writer Johnny O’Reilly, Cooper’s lonely Man conjures up Negga’s beautiful young Woman – but will he know how to get her to play along?
