Watch: Jim Carrey sings Radiohead in a New York nightclub
WITH HIS INFAMOUS YouTube video declaring his undying love for actress Emma Stone already a viral hit, Jim Carrey is earning a reputation for himself as an example of life imitating art – with the actor now coming across as odd as some of his on-screen characters.
Which is why, when he showed up at New York’s well-known music venue Arlene’s Kitchen on Saturday night, and took to the stage for a couple of quick numbers, it was probably only fitting that he sang Radiohead’s ‘Creep’, an ode to social exclusion.
And, as it turns out, he actually wasn’t too bad at it – as this onlooker’s video testifies. He followed up with Smashing Pumpkins’ ‘Bullet with Butterfly Wings’ (“despite all my rage, I’m still just a rat in a cage”) – further cementing his new persona as a social semi-outcast.
We’re expecting a Paul McGrath-esque album any day now.
