Michael Voris claims to be an Emmy-award winning journalist. We're still looking for the evidence of this.

Watch: US Catholic TV preacher finds Irish Catholicism "in dire straits"

Catholic preacher travels to make video in Dublin – and is shocked that people “deliberately miss Mass” and at finding stickers that “promote sodomy as a right”.

AN AMERICAN CATHOLIC television ‘star’ has “exposed” what he sees as the lack of faith and commitment of Irish Catholics.

Taking to the streets of Dublin, Michael Voris said he could find only one person (out of about 24) who said they go to mass because they “believe” (and not because their parents “make them”).

Vortis’ programme “The Vortex” on RealCatholicTV.com claims to trap and expose “lies and falsehood” and on their trip to Ireland they said they discovered the “cataclysmic meltdown of the Catholic church”.

One man who claimed he didn’t “have” to go to mass every single Sunday was chided by Vortis, who told him:

Do you know the church teaching that to deliberately miss Mass on Sunday is a mortal sin? (See 0:54)

Voris saves some of his strongest words for the “homosexual rights movement” in Ireland, lobbyists for what he describes as “so-called gay marriage” and the shock of finding stickers on the ground “all over the place promoting sodomy as a right.” (See 5:30)

Check out the full video posted to Voris’s blog this week:

Voris and his crew were in Dublin last week on the invite of Fr Dave Mardsen of St John Vianney Parish in Artane. He spoke after each of the church’s Holy Novena masses. When contacted by TheJournal.ie, Fr Marsden said he hadn’t seen the video and that he had extended only a simple invite for Voris to speak at the Novena.
