PRINCE HARRY AND Meghan Markle have come in for criticism this week – what’s new says you – over the fact that they reportedly broke the news of Meghan’s pregnancy to family members on the same day as Princess Eugenie’s wedding.

Critics have accused the royal couple of stealing Princess Eugenie’s thunder while others have defended the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, reminding everyone that it’s not like Harry and Meghan interrupted the actual ceremony to announce the impending arrival of their first child.

This obviously isn’t the first time the subject has arisen, with social media users regularly debating whether weddings are an appropriate place to make your own personal declaration.

And to be fair, I remember audibly gasping during The Hangover when Stu told Doug he planned to propose at Doug’s wedding, so I know where I stand on the subject.
