A nervous best man from Tyrone reworked Galway Girl into a lovely speech
GARY ELLIOTT WAS delighted to be chosen by his brother Chris to be best man at his wedding.
The groom Chris and bride Julie are now living in Liverpool, but had their wedding last Friday in the Galgorm resort in Ballymena, Antrim.
When it came to cooking up a speech, the Strabane man wasn’t too keen on public speaking, so he came up with a solution.
Instead of droning on, he came up with some lyrics to the tune of Galway Girl and gave a wedding song instead.
As a singer, Gary’s no stranger to belting out a tune on the guitar.
