Nightcrawler (RTE 2, 9.15pm) Jake Gyllenhall plays a man who falls into crime broadcast journalism while desperate for work. He discovers he has a talent for getting to crime scenes before anyone else, even the police.
Se7en (RTE 2, 11.30pm) A thriller about two detectives trying to capture a serial killer who appears to be seeking revenge for the seven deadly sins. WHAT’S IN THE BOX?
The Greatest Dancer (BBC 1, 8pm) If you’re sick of singing competitions, try out a dancing one. This is the Beeb’s new dancing contest, featuring judges Cheryl Cole, Glee star Matthew Morrison, and Strictly professional Oti Mabuse. Hosts are Alesha Dixon and Jordan Banjo, so it’s worth a go.

Dancing With the Stars (RTE 1, 6.30pm) It’s the brand new series and it’s starting tonight. Jennifer Zamparelli and Nicky Byrne turn up for hosting duties, while stars such as Holly Carpenter, Peter Stringer, and Mairead Ronan compete for the glitter ball. Yes, stars.
Inception (RTE 2, 9pm) Finally understand all of those Inception memes by watching Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi adventure. A thief who has the ability to enter people’s subconscious minds to steal ideas tries to implant them instead.
Dancing on Ice (BBC 1, 7pm) All the competitions are coming back. Phillip Scholfield and Holly Willoughby present the competition, featuring contestants such as Brian McFadden, Gemma Collins, and Wes from Love Island.

Star Trek Into Darkness (Channel 4, 8pm) The JJ Abrams’ remake of the science fiction series.
I, Daniel Blake (BBC 2, 9.45pm) Brilliant film about a 59-joiner who needs welfare after a heart attack, and a single mother with two kids looking for accommodation.

Ireland’s 6 Nations Adventure (Virgin Media One, 9pm) Relive the glory.
Gogglebox Does TV3 (Virgin Media One, 10.05pm) The Goggleboxers do TV3 throughout the years, hopefully with the likes of Tallafornia and Dublin Wives.
The Boy Who Tried to Kill Trump (Virgin Media One, 11.05pm) In 2016, a young man from Dorking attempted to assassinate Donald Trump, this documentary looks at his life in US prison.
Les Miserables (BBC 1, 9pm) The BBC adaptation of the musical continues.
Eight Out of Ten Cats Does Countdown (Channel 4, 10pm) Featuring Jon Richardson, Joe Wilkinson, Kevin Bridges, Jessica Knappet, and Dr John Cooper Clarke.
