Everyone’s talking about…  Catastrophe

Channel 4 / YouTube

The trailer for the Channel 4 sitcom Catastrophe has hit the internet. The comedy stars Irish actress Sharon Horgan as an Irish woman who falls pregnant after a brief fling with an American, played by comedian Rob Delaney.

Channel 4 screened the comedy at this year’s Edinburgh TV Festival. Following the screening, Radio Times surmised that it may wind up being “the comedy hit of next year”.

One to look out for, so.

Or flick over for…

  • The Mario Rosenstock Christmas Special (RTÉ Two, 10pm) Impression extravaganza.
  • Scrooged (TV3, 9.15pm) Bill Murray! Need we say more?
  • Gogglebox 2014 (Channel 4, 9.3opm) The best of the popular reality show.
  • Calendar Girls (BBC Two, 9.30pm) Perfect Mam fare.
  • Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas (ITV 2, 7.15pm) Rather appropriate given the day that’s in it.
