What to watch on TV tonight: Friday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

EVERY WEEKDAY lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

The Late Late Show (RTÉ, 9.35pm)

Tonight is a Fair City celebration, as the soap reaches the ripe young age of 25. But, it’s not ALL about that. You can also catch Mr Grand Designs Kevin McCloud, Ultimo entrepreneur Michelle Mone, Danny ‘The Script’ O’Donoghue, and tween rockstars The Vamps. Cancel your pub plans. #latelate

Star Trek (RTÉ Two, 9.35pm)

It’s Friday. Lash out the trekkie within you and catch the Star Trek movie re-boot, starring Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto. Director J.J Abrams is looking after the latest Star Wars instalment too. It’s all getting very confusing.

Alan Carr, Chatty Man (Channel 4, 10pm)

The great chatty one is back. In the opener of the new series, he’s joined by comedians Jack Whitehall, Jon Richardson, Matt Forde and musical guests, Kasabian. Sure to be gas. GAS. #chattyman

Everybody’s talking about: Mrs Brown’s Boys

Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas special was the most watched programme in the UK and Ireland last year. Well, now it’s back with a double whammy of Christmas specials. The BBC announced yesterday that fans will be given DOUBLE the comedy this holiday season. Lucky, lucky, us.

People are delighted.
