What to watch on TV tonight: Saturday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline later.

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow

The Saturday Night Show (RTÉ 1, 9.35pm)

Brendan is joined by MMA stars Aisling Daly aka Aish the Bash, and Paddy ‘The Hooligan’ Holohan. Corrie star and former Hear’say genius Kym Marsh will also be in the studio, along with broadcaster Ivan Yates and theatre producer Ronan Smith, who’ll talk about being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s aged 56.

Silver Linings Playbook (Channel 4, 9pm)

Bradley Cooper plays a man with bipolar disorder, going through a divorce having just left a psychiatric facility. He moves back in with his parents before meeting an eccentric widowed neighbour who promises to get him back with his wife if he enters a dance competition with her. See the role that got Jennifer Lawrence her Oscar, in this impossibly charming movie.

The Jonathan Ross Show (UTV Ireland, 9.40pm)

Wossy has a decent line-up tonight. Joining him on the sofa will be the always-hilarious Jennifer Saunders, Take Me Out host Paddy McGuinness, and Nick Frost, of Simon Pegg and Nick Frost fame. Gas tickets galore.

Everyone’s talking about… Vogue drinking her own pee pee

Vogue Williams flew the flag for Ireland on last night’s debut of Mission Survive. Adventurer and wee-drinker Bear Grylls took six celebrities into the wilderness and sets them survival challenges.

People were impressed.

But she will now be known as the woman who drank her own piss. You hang around with Bear for TWO SECONDS and…

Or flick over for…

The Voice UK (BBC 1, 7pm) The blind auditions come to a close. It might get interesting now.

Into The Wild (RTÉ 2, 9pm) Emile Hirsch plays privileged college graduate Christopher McCandless, who abandons his life to live off the land in solidarity in the depths of rural Alaska. Based on a true story.

Drive (UTV Ireland 10.40pm) Ryan Gosling stars as a brooding getaway driver, with a killer soundtrack. Enough said.

The Inbetweeners Movie (E4, 9pm) Ba ba, Americano. The lads head off on holiday, disgusting banter ensues. Brilliant.

Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway (UTV Ireland, 7pm) It’s back and it’s ready to entertain you. Ed Sheeran aka Ireland’s saviour is performing live.
