Les Miserables (Channel 4, 9pm)

The screen adaptation of the beloved musical features everything from Russell Crowe’s weird singing to an emotional rendition of I Dreamed A Dream that would make a stone cry. Just try to restrain yourself from joining in on the singing. “Valjean, at last…” #LesMis

Athletics: World Championships Highlights (BBC Two, 7pm) 

The World Championships are currently taking place in Beijing and today saw the men’s 100m race take place. Will Bolt or Gatlin prevail? Tune in to see that and the rest of the day’s action. 

The Reader (RTÉ One, 9.30pm)

AKA the film that finally won Kate Winslet her Oscar. Based on the novel of the same name, The Reader tells the story of a lawyer who discovers that the woman he had an affair with as a teenager was a guard at a Nazi concentration camp.

Everyone’s talking about… Spencer from Made in Chelsea

The reality star is set to leave Made in Chelsea and reportedly has his own spin-off in development.

A source told the Daily Mirror:

It’s like nothing that’s ever been seen before and people will be surprised. He’s had to face a lot of stick for being a ladies’ man but now it’s time for people to see a different side of Spencer.
