What to watch on TV tonight: Monday

Here are the shows that’ll be on your Twitter timeline this evening

Every lunchtime, DailyEdge.ie rounds up the TV shows that you’ll be tweeting about tonight and talking about tomorrow.

Behind The Candelabra (BBC Two, 10pm)

This stunning biopic stars Michael Douglas as Liberace and Matt Damon as his partner Scott Thorson and focuses on the last 10 years of Liberace’s life. Christmas telly doesn’t get any better than this.

Les Miserables (RTÉ One, 9.30pm)

The Oscar-winning film adaptation of the beloved musical screens tonight. If you’re able to watch it without belting I Dreamed A Dream with Anne Hathaway, you’re stronger than we are.

Gogglebox 2015 (Channel 4, 9pm)

Relive some of Gogglebox’s greatest moments with this one-off special featuring your favourite quips and zingers from 2015. Bliss. #Gogglebox

Everyone’s talking about… Glenroe

Last night, RTÉ One aired Well Holy God It’s Glenroe and Irish Twitter got awful nostalgic.

And yes, people panicked about not having their homework done.

Ah, memories. (DailyEdge.ie)

Or flick over for…

  • Match of the Day (BBC One, 10.30pm) Highlights from the day’s footie action.
  • Avengers Assemble (RTÉ Two, 8.15pm) Star-studded superhero blockbuster.
  • One Direction: Where We Are (RTÉ Two, 7pm) Got any Directioners in your house? A concert film airs on RTÉ Two this evening.
  • Celebrity Mastermind (BBC One, 7pm) Because nothing says Christmas like seeing celebrities make a hames of the general knowledge round.
  • Christmas University Challenge (BBC Two, 8pm) Or indeed watching Paxman interrogate brainboxes about medieval  medicine.
  • The Omen (Channel 4, 12.50am) Christmas is over and it’s time to frighten the bejaysus out of yourself.
