Football, football, football. Get used to it. Coverage of the Group A match at the Stade Velodrome in Marseille is a fine way to spend the evening.

Koko, the Gorilla Who Talks to People (BBC 1, 8.30pm)

This documentary follows the only talking gorilla in the world, Koko, and her psychologist Penny Patterson. They have been working together for 40 years and their story is simply amazing.

Road to Rio (RTE 2, 8.30pm)

The final in the series following Olympic hopefuls for Ireland. Sarah Lavin, a 100m hurdler, showjumper Cian O’Connor, and pentathlete Natalya Coyle all feature, hoping to be in with a chance of competing in Rio.
